ABOUT THE PROJECT – ECO-FASHION COLLECTION

The Eco-Fashion Collection is the result of a research project that bridges science, design, and practice. It demonstrates how the combination of textile engineering, materials research, and fashion design leads to garments with a longer technical, functional, and psychological lifespan. We are researching why people discard clothing before it is physically worn out, how materials age, and how thoughtful design can extend their useful life.

The collection was created in close collaboration between designers and experts in textile materials and technologies. The Faculty of Textile Engineering at the Technical University of Liberec provided the project with professional support, technological equipment, and interdisciplinary know-how. Each model of the collection responds to findings from sociological, material, and ecological research and seeks a path to timeless sustainability—to garments that withstand the test of time, trends, and intensive use. The eco-clothing collection demonstrates that sustainable clothing is not a compromise, but a fusion of longevity, aesthetic quality, and environmental responsibility.

Outputs for Industry and Education

The project's outputs are applied in the textile industry, startups, and university education. They offer recommendations for designing durable clothing, new material strategies, and processes that support the circular economy and eco-design. They also confirm that the principles of longevity can be directly applied in practice — in design studios and manufacturing, where they can significantly influence the quality of future textile products.
